(MOSTLY) TRUE THINGS is a game wrapped in a storytelling show, featuring true stories told by people drawn from the fantastic pool of Moth-winning, comedy-wrangling, heartstrings-pulling storytellers in the New York area.

The game is this: one storyteller tells the unvarnished truth, the other 3 include carefully-crafted little white lies. The audience gets to question the storytellers, who can improvise their responses. then vote for the person they think told it straight. With some improvised story-inspired music and songs written for the show by host/creator Jude Treder-Wolff and Wells Hanley. Its a high-energy, often hilarious, sometimes emotion-packed and always-entertaining show with an audience that is a ton of fun. There are prizes involved, if you can believe a thing like that.

(mostly) TRUE THINGS is a unique entertainment experience -part cabaret, part storytelling, part whodonit - and always a great time! I’ve performed here and Jude is a terrific, engaging host and the audience is always warm and engaging.
— Tracey Segarra, Moth Grand Slam winner
I had a blast doing (mostly) TRUE THINGS! Jude Treder-Wolff is an incredible host and all the other storytellers were amazing! The Performing Arts Studio of NY is such a beautiful space and made the whole experience so relaxed and just wonderful. I look forward to doing it again.
— Award-winning writer/performer Bob Brader,
As a comedian telling the truth on the stage for 25 years, I’ve never had so much fun being a big fat liar...for the most part. Storytelling with (mostly) TRUE THINGS is such a fun experience, I would tell stories every month, if I had more exciting life. And that’s no lie.
— Award-winning Long Island-based comic Stevie GB
The best variety hour on Long Island.
— John Martin, Public Health Educator, improviser, storyteller
